The oncogenic transcription factor c-Jun regulates glutaminase expression and sensitizes cells to glutaminase-targeted therapy. By studying a patients cancer cells in engineered models of the human body and monitoring these cells using advanced imaging approaches, our center generates unprecedented insights into cancer progression and therapy response, says Fischbach-Teschl. They work in multidisciplinary teams that focus on translational research targeting individual cancers, as well as those focused on basic research that crosses multiple diseases across the cancer continuum.
